Tina Mitchell is a freelance writer and graphic designer with a Ph.D. from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where she learned to nurture her intellectual curiosity through rigorous research and teaching college students. An avid life-long learner, Tina cofounded im-possible, a nonprofit, transdisciplinary think tank that focuses on posthumanism and our developing human condition, and The Turnip Truck(s), an award-winning journal focused on the dialectics of the human and its environments. She has also been a researcher, writer, and/or graphic designer for the Financial Transitionist Institute, The Tokenist, and various small marketing businesses. She recently took teaching outside the classroom to be an alpine ski instructor at Bogus Basin, where she completed the Professional Ski Instructors of America level one certification. When she’s not working, you can find her sailing, painting, or sitting in a tree—hoping the heightened view will reveal deeper connections.
